A Sweet New Chapter: Sugar Crave Is Moving to DeKalb in January 2027! 💕✨
After almost 13 wonderful years in Sycamore, we’re growing into something we’ve been dreaming about for a long time!
We have some incredibly exciting news to share! Sugar Crave is officially moving into our very own storefront 220 N. 4th Street in Downtown DeKalb, Illinois, in January 2027!
This next chapter is something I’ve dreamed about for years, and while it’s bittersweet to leave the community where Sugar Crave began, I couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds for our little business.
The best part? We’re not going far! Our new home is just five miles from our current location, so you’ll still see the same familiar faces, receive the same personalized care, and experience everything you’ve come to love about Sugar Crave. Just with a little more room to grow! Making it easy for our longtime clients to continue visiting us while welcoming new faces from DeKalb, Cortland, Maple Park, Geneva, Rochelle, South Elgin, Belvidere, Rockford, Byron, Oregon, Waterman, Genoa, Malta, and surrounding Northern Illinois communities.
From One Sugarista to a Team of Amazing Women
When I started Sugar Crave over 12 years ago, I never could have imagined all the beautiful relationships, opportunities, and memories this business would bring into my life.
For the first several years, it was just me, my clients, and a whole lot of sugar! I spent my days building relationships, educating people about the benefits of sugaring hair removal, and pouring my heart into creating a business that felt welcoming, personal, and different.
Over time, Sugar Crave grew into something much bigger than myself.
Today, I’m incredibly proud to work alongside Jackie, Madison, and Miranda, three wonderful women who bring their own personalities, talents, and passion to our studio every day.
Watching our team grow, develop their skills, build relationships with clients, and support one another has been one of the most rewarding parts of owning Sugar Crave.
Our clients aren’t just booking an appointment. They’re spending time with women who genuinely care about their comfort, confidence, and well-being. That’s something I never want us to lose, no matter how much we grow.

We’re designing a space that feels warm, inviting, comfortable, and a little luxurious, while staying true to our love for natural beauty, thoughtful ingredients, and personalized services.

- The SAME Sugaring hair removal, with our specialty, Brazilian sugaring
- More treatment rooms and room to grow, allowing us to expand our services and welcome more clients.
- Greater appointment availability, with more flexibility in our team’s schedules and opportunities to offer additional hours.
- An elevated facial experience, with customized skincare treatments with our facials, carefully selected professional products, and a continued focus on skin health.
- A dedicated retail experience, featuring our favorite clean beauty, skincare, and aftercare essentials, along with Sugar Crave’s own growing collection of handmade products.
- A thoughtfully designed atmosphere, giving you a beautiful space to relax, unwind, and enjoy a little time for yourself.
- Additional Brow services, laminations, tinting, and lash lifts

This is the part that makes me a little emotional.
Sycamore has been home to Sugar Crave since the very beginning. It’s where I took a chance on myself, built a business from the ground up, met thousands of wonderful people, and created friendships that extend far beyond the treatment room.
You’ve supported us through the early years, helped us grow through word of mouth, recommended us to your friends and families, celebrated our milestones, and trusted us with your skincare and sugaring needs.
You’ve watched Sugar Crave grow from a one-woman business into a team of hardworking, passionate women.
That kind of support is something I’ll never take for granted.
Leaving Sycamore won’t be easy. This community has given me so much, both personally and professionally, and I will always be grateful for the place where our story began.
But one of the beautiful things about this move is that we’re staying close to the communities we love. We look forward to continuing to serve our Sycamore clients while building new relationships with our neighbors in DeKalb and the surrounding communities.
Growing Without Losing What Makes Us Sugar Crave
As a small business owner, growth can be exciting and a little intimidating. There’s so much that goes into taking the next step, especially when you’ve spent years building something that means so much to you.
But one thing I know for certain is that I never want Sugar Crave to lose the personal touch that got us here.
I want our clients to feel remembered, welcomed, educated, and comfortable. I want our team to have opportunities to grow professionally, feel supported, and continue building careers they’re proud of.
And I want Sugar Crave to keep evolving, introducing new services, developing our own products, and finding ways to make clean beauty and professional skincare more accessible to our community.
This new storefront gives us the space to dream a little bigger while holding on to everything that makes us who we are.
